I just got this. So far, in very limited usage, it seems really good on AM and FM. (UPDATE: AM DXing capability is there! Check the AM band out in the evening! I mainly listen to AM, and from what I had seen and read prior to purchasing, this radio does a great job for its size in resolving distant signals. I have found this to be true.)

SW is not too shabby. A bit of wire attached to the telescopic antenna helps.

It is a DSP receiver. So, you need to tune slowly so as to not skip over weaker signals. The radio is small so, you can quickly move the tuning needle all the way across each band. Again, tune slowly and be patient. It will be well worth it. This is a sensitive receiver that WILL pull a lot of stations in.

I will add that I feel a tuning knob would probably just feel better on this radio (think Tecsun R-9012) than the wheel that it has. Certainly not a reason to decrease my rating, it is just a personal preference.

The sound quality is pleasant and certainly acceptable for a radio of this size. It is not fatiguing at all.

I highly recommend the D-328 to all enthusiasts who are looking for a good quality affordable pocket sized world band radio. This is a good choice for anyone that would like to get their foot in the door of Shortwave listening also.

The only negative is that I would prefer that it could run on AA rechargeable batteries. I prefer them to the BL-5C cells.

A great little radio. It's been in my tacklebox and served on a number of fishing and camping trips and I've never had any trouble with it. Shortwave reception seems to be pretty good and the sound quality is better than you'd expect from the size. On a full charge and low volume you can start it up with breakfast in the morning and it'll go until bedtime, but you'll need to charge it the next day. It does take a while to recharge completely from dead. I haven't tried the mp3 functionality, just used it as a radio. It has a very long telescoping antenna for good SW reception. The fold-out stand in the back is a neat idea but doesn't actually work very well given that it's offset to the side; it will stand up but the slightest jostle will knock it down (just lean it on a rock)

I've had a couple $12 radios, just to listen to FM classical music to get the earworms (lyrics) outa my head. Some worked ok, but their reception was spotty, and one stopped receiving channels, so into the trash they all went.

Great reception! Rarely do I even have to extend the antenna (and it comes with an external wire antenna, maybe for far away trips)

Very easy to program stations.

It has FM, AM, Shortwave, AIR, I haven't yet played with those others, just FM, but the easy scan mode captures every signal within your location.

Sound is quite loud for such a little radio, the width of my iPhone 17, but short by an inch and a half.

Has alarms, sleep settings.

Only thing is that it doesn't have regular battery power. So hopefully the lithium battery lasts, I'll update this (as of 2/28/26)

It stands upright in a flat surface, has little rubber foot pads. And it has a pull-out flap in the back to prop it up at an angle.

It has a wrist strap.

Battery life is not confirmed, it has a sleep timer that maxes at 120minutes, which is perfect for me when it puts me to sleep. I've only charged it once in the last week, but it was still half max...

All in all for $60 I like it very much

The D-328 is a very good little radio. Unlike the digital sets that tune in 5kHz or 10kHz steps, this continuous tuning radio catches stations that may be missed with a digital radio. It's easy to quickly cover a shortwave band and locate stations. Tuning takes a bit to get used to, but once you do you won't be disappointed. The telescopic antenna works good, but an additional wire antenna can be clipped on for better reception. FM & shortwave reception is excellent, and AM is good, but not outstanding. The mp3 player works well; I loaded a uSD card with hundreds of old radio shows. Be aware that this radio is not stereo. This radio is small enough to take to picnics, camping, etc. My only complaint is the control lettering is molded into the plastic, and very difficult to read, although the operation is very intuative. Check out all the outstanding reviews on YouTube. I really like this radio!

I didn't expect much with this radio because of its cheap price, but I decided to give it a chance. Man, am I glad I did!

The body feels good, maybe even a little cheap, but the switches, buttons for the MP3 player, and tuning knobs feel great. The antenna feels nice and sturdy. Comes with a rechargeable battery which is always a welcomed addition. The size is about 5 inches by 3 inches, which means you can put this in your pocket, and carry it with you easily. There's even a kickstand in the back! Pretty neat!

The telescopic antenna does a great job picking up stations, but that depends on where you live, and other interferences around you. FM, AM, and shortwave, came in very well, and sounded great on the internal speaker. I was able to pick up Review Brah's broadcast with ease with this! This has a headphone jack too, but I haven't tried it yet.

If listening to stations from around the world wasn't enough, there's even a built-in MP3 player that will play all of your favorite MP3s if you put them on a microSD card, and insert it in the TF card slot at the top. MP3 controls are robust with having fast forward, rewind, play, pause, skip track, previous track, skip 10 tracks, previous 10 tracks, and it will even resume play from where it left off when you turn the device off! The MP3 sound comes out crisp.

Overall, I'd say this is a must buy, and you surely can not go wrong with the price. Don't take what I said about it feeling a little cheap the wrong way because this little powerful radio is anything but that!

DO NOT BUY! It was a good radio for the 1 1/2 months it worked. Now it's a non-returnable, non-refundable glorified paperweight or landfill fodder. A radio it definitely is not. The return window and refund window for non working items is such that it's obvious they must be knowingly selling a defective product. That's easily apparent when you go to their support website and one of the first things it says is due to design issues and problems with this radio the open window for returns is one month. After that you can only pay money to have it repaired. The website literally says this policy is in place because of all the issues with this radio

Seemed broken out of the box. Bad reception even on strong local stations. Also has an odd chemical smell. Speaker sound was OK. Display is limited but bright.

Edit: Second replacment unit had none of these issues. Stereo headphone sound is good, speaker has a nice tone, mp3 and bluetooth work well. Shortwave is decent, works better than some I've tried. Appriciate the tuning light. Unlike the first this is well worth the price. Only docking a star for the display not showing more mp3 track info, and no light on the tuning display.

Best is the SW that I needed.

The battery last about 4hours continued use.
