- The Jetpack VideoPress plugin is a dedicated tool for video hosting. It includes the VideoPress dashboard, which allows you to upload and manage your videos alongside advanced customization options.
- The Jetpack plugin for broader Jetpack features. This plugin is recommended but not required.

Customize videos
You can customize how your videos look and behave. The following resources cover customization options:
Manage video privacy in bulk
You can change the privacy of several videos at once from the VideoPress dashboard library using three bulk actions: Make public, Make private, and Reset to site default. These actions let you control who can view your videos without editing each video individually.
Each bulk action does the following:
- Make public sets the selected videos so anyone can view them.
- Make private sets the selected videos so they are not publicly accessible.
- Reset to site default sets the selected videos to follow your site’s default privacy setting.
To apply a bulk privacy action, follow these steps:
- Go to the VideoPress dashboard library.
- Select the checkbox for each video you want to update.
- Click Make public, Make private, or Reset to site default.
- Confirm the action to apply the new privacy setting to all selected videos.
Manage videos with the dedicated VideoPress plugin
Jetpack VideoPress is the dedicated, standalone plugin you use to manage and upload your videos. The Jetpack VideoPress plugin includes extra features such as the VideoPress dashboard and dedicated customization options. Adaptive streaming with VideoPress
VideoPress offers adaptive streaming, which adjusts video quality automatically to match the viewer’s bandwidth and screen size for faster playback. Viewers can still choose their preferred quality from the menu.
Cancelled or expired VideoPress plan
If you cancel your VideoPress plan, or it expires, Jetpack does not delete your video files, but the videos are no longer publicly accessible to your audience. Resubscribing to VideoPress enables the videos to be viewed again.
VideoPress storage limit
The VideoPress paid plan includes a total storage limit of 1 TB. You cannot purchase additional storage beyond this limit.
VideoPress Terms of Service
Your videos should use the VideoPress player on the WordPress site for which VideoPress has been purchased, and comply with the other service guidelines.

Privacy Information
VideoPress is deactivated by default. You can activate or deactivate it at any time by toggling the Enable high-speed, ad-free video player setting in the Video section at Jetpack → Settings → Performance in your WP Admin.
