  • Three Orientation sessions down, 11 more to go! 🎉 We’re feeling so much gratitude and excitement as we kick off another summer of welcoming new Hokies and their families to Virginia Tech. The energy from our first three sessions has been incredible, and we’re just getting started. A huge shoutout to our amazing Orientation Leaders, who have worked so hard to get to this point. They have already done such an outstanding job creating welcoming spaces, sharing their Hokie experiences, answering questions, and helping our newest students and families feel at home. We are so proud of the work they’re doing! To our newest Hokies and their families: thank you for spending part of your summer with us. We are so excited to welcome you to Blacksburg, help you begin building your Hokie community, and support you through this transition to Virginia Tech.   • New Student and Family Programs at Virginia Tech is hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Blacksburg 🦃 If you enjoy supporting a collaborative office environment, keeping projects organized, and helping teams operate smoothly behind the scenes, this role could be a great fit. The Administrative Assistant plays an important part in ensuring our office runs efficiently while supporting programs and initiatives that help new students and families transition successfully to Virginia Tech. This full-time position assists with scheduling, communications, logistics, and day-to-day operations that keep our work moving forward.   • Calling All Hokies: Weeks of Welcome Leaders Wanted for Fall 2026! 🦃 The start of a new academic year is a pivotal moment for new students and their families at Virginia Tech, and Weeks of Welcome Leaders play a key role in making that first impression a positive one. We are currently hiring Weeks of Welcome Leaders for Fall 2026 to support welcome events, assist new students and families, and help create a sense of belonging across campus.
