Edwards and Kelcey, a Morristown-based engineering and construction management firm, today said it is being acquired by Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. of Pasadena, Calif., an $8 billion firm with 45,000 employees. The acquisition will help Jacobs increase the size of its practices in transportation urban development and telecommunications, said Jacobs Group Vice President Allyn Taylor. Edwards and Kelcey was ranked 71st among the Top 500 U.S. Design Firms by the Engineering News-Record Web site for 2006, while Jacobs is ranked 3rd.
