Hurricane Melissa was an extremely powerful Atlantic hurricane in October 2025. The storm was tied with Hurricane Allen for having the fastest sustained winds at 190 mph (305 km/h), and tied with Hurricane Dorian and the 1935 Labor Day hurricane for the fastest sustained winds on landfall when it made landfall in Jamaica.
Melissa caused at least 102 deaths, one in Cuba, four in the Dominican Republic, 43 in Haiti, and 54 in Jamaica.
