| Don't Think That's What Second Base Means...
Allen gives I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class a go, and... well, it's hardly the second best romcom out there. Far from it, in fact, as the show has a rather insufferable main lead, and that seems to be the point here? Uh... OK?
And that's our lot once again. Next week... is going to get even worse? Oh, the torture!

| Fool As Ice.
Allen puts the first season of The Ramparts of Ice on his plate and walks away quite satisfied. Dramatic shows starring high schoolers might be a dime a dozen, but it's still nice to see when they do it right.
Which... uh, doesn't bode well for next week, when second place is apparently going halfsies. See you then.

| I tip my coned hat to you.
Hey, everyone. Stig's on vacation for a while, so I'll be doing the review uploads in his absence.
This week Allen looks at season one of the one of the biggest anime of spring 2026, Witch Hat Atelier. He likes the show, but hopes more will soon come to make a more concise opinion on it. Hopefully that's sooner than later.
Next week comes a review with a...more chilling title, you could say. Gotta beat that summer heat, right?

| All That Glitters Is Not Just Otaku.
So yeah, this week is all about the Gals again as I take on Gals Can't Be Nice To Otaku, a show I find rather nice if not suspiciously familiar. This is hardly the first "school hotties are nice to the local nerd" show I've ever seen, and it definitely won't be the last, but it is one of the better ones. That is, if by "better", we're talking "nice vibes" all around.
And that's that once again for this week. Next week, things are about to get a lot more magical. See you all then.

| "Ooh, Heaven is a Hell on Earth..."
Allen looks into Tengoku Daimakyou, and he finds it reasonably entertaining, though he warns that the show is not for the faint of heart. It is rated TV-MA after all.
And that's that for this week. Next week couldn't possibly be as nice to you all, right? See you then.

| Get Down With Your Bad Incelf.
So, here's my contribution of the week, and it's... quite something. I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! seems to be the result of someone looking at shows like Overlord and saying "Eh, I can do better." And just... no. No, they can't. This one is pretty dire as isekai go, and honestly, I'm done. I know isekai in general has turned more towards the villain subgenre starring women as of late, but unless I'm continuing one of the Isekai I actually already like (Re:Zero, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Campfire Cooking in Another World), I'm not even going to consider them unless they get positive word of mouth from reputable sources, supposedly interesting angles be damned.
Anyway, that's that for this week. Ranting aside, next week, we've got something better for you. See, after the world ends....
...oh dear. Oh well, see you then.
