Filmed at the iconic London Palladium in 2019, the concert brought together an extraordinary lineup of artists. Cara joined Dervish onstage for a moving rendition of her classic The Parting Glass alongside, David Gray, Imelda May and Kate Rusby, a powerful and memorable moment in a remarkable evening of song.
BBC’s BLUE LIGHTS
The Parting Glass
Cara and Sam were very moved when their version of The Parting Glass was used in its entirety for a very powerful scene in the BBC's hit police drama Blue Lights. In fact, the whole episode is called The Parting Glass and the scene begins at approximately 55:30 into the episode. We recommend having a tissue at the ready if you watch it.

“This immersive tapestry stops you in your tracks; it demands that you listen to meditations inspired by her native Co. Derry and the people, places, and the customs she holds closest to her heart.”
★★★★★ RnR Magazine
"Coming Home is a bewitching album...it might just be the best album she has ever released."
The Irish Independent
Cara’s highly anticipated eighth solo album and her first featuring entirely original material. A highly evocative and moving collection of her poems set to music with a contemporary yet timeless feel. Produced by Sam Lakeman and mixed by Grammy winning Irish engineer/producer, Kevin Killen. Coming Home sees Cara blurring the lines between spoken word and song to stunning effect.
Coming Home is also the name of Cara’s first book. A personal and immensely evocative collection of memories, stories, and reflections written to accompany her album of the same name. Drawing on the rich culture and landscape of her native County Derry, Cara offers a rare glimpse into her upbringing, reflecting on her remarkable family, and the customs and stories that have helped shape her as an artist, and as a woman.
“Memoir, poem, guidebook, diary. It is a work of intimacy, love, and affection, unguarded and authentic. It’s both blanket & magic carpet. It’s the tent of childhoods spent dreaming under a night sky in summer. It’s boundless.”
Maria McManus, Poetry Ireland
