Go to a carrier's website and check whether they serve your building. I'll wait. That gap is why I led the rebuild of Lightpath's website - https://lnkd.in/eXFPjAgS 110 pages in two months, Drupal-to-WordPress, with a new information architecture and rewritten copy on every page, plus a template system so the next 50 pages don't cost another 300 hours. The thesis: someone evaluating fiber or waves shouldn't have to file a form to learn where a route runs. Answer the questions in the order buyers ask them, and the meeting takes care of itself. Two things I'd point at: 1. A Resource Library that puts spec sheets and case studies in front of the gate instead of behind it 2. An interactive network map you can search, covering 12,100+ route miles and 18,000+ on-net locations Designed and built with LSP | Lorem Ipsum. Copy reviewed by Joshua M. Donahue. Map expertise from Kris Boccio & Michael H. Thanks to Gia Thiel for the air cover.

  • It's Did You Know Friday!💡 A circuit running at 40% average utilization looks healthy on dashboards. That same circuit can be fully saturated for twenty minutes every morning, when backups, video calls and app sync all fire at once on the same path. When the window clears, utilization drops back to normal and the daily average never shows what happened. The dashboard says fine, your users say otherwise. It isn't a monitoring failure, average utilization is just the wrong number for measuring contention. Each workload was sized correctly on its own, and each one clears when you check it alone. What no one measured is all of them peaking together on the same path. That gap doesn't show up in a capacity review. It shows up as slow applications at 9 a.m., in the same places, on the same schedule, no matter how much bandwidth you add.

  • Artificial intelligence is changing more than applications. It's changing how enterprise networks are being used. Over the past 18 months, IP traffic across Lightpath's network has grown at an annualized rate of 32%, a significant increase from historical growth rates. As more organizations integrate AI and large language models into everyday operations, demand for high-capacity, low-latency connectivity continues to grow. What's notable is where this growth is coming from. It isn't driven by a single customer or industry. It's happening across healthcare, financial services, education, and other enterprise organizations as AI becomes part of everyday operations. This growth reflects a broader shift happening across the enterprise. As AI moves from experimentation to real-world use, the network is becoming an increasingly important part of making those applications work at scale. • Ever missed the puck drop because you’re staring at a loading screen trying to pull up your tickets? That doesn’t happen to New Jersey Devils fans. At the Prudential Center in Newark, the fan experience starts at the doors: tickets, concessions, retail, every touchpoint hits the network before anyone reaches their seat. Demand swells faster than the sound of a goal celebration and there's no tolerance for a dropped connection mid-event. The arena has a network built for the fans who depend on it. Sasha Puric, the CTO who runs the arena’s technology ecosystem, worked with Lightpath to build fiber paths that enter the arena from two separate locations. If one path fails, traffic moves to the other automatically, keeping Devils fans connected with no interruption. Hear from the arena team and the engineers who built the network on what it takes to keep one of the country's busiest venues connected and fans engaged from puck drop to the final horn. 👇 Todd Margiotta Thomas Gambino

As fiber networks grow, so does the need for accurate, real-time network data. Lightpath Fiber has been on that journey, bringing teams together around a single, up-to-date view of the network to improve coordination from design and construction through to operations and maintenance. Kris Boccio and Mikaila Martinez will be joining us in Charlotte this October to share their experience first-hand. If you're navigating similar challenges around network data, team coordination or laying the right foundations for AI, it's the kind of conversation worth being in the room for. 📅 Oct. 14–15, 2026 📍 Hilton Charlotte Uptown, Charlotte, N.C. 👉 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/dfBYKgGd #LightpathFiber #IQGeoMeetup #CaseStudy

It's Did You Know Friday!💡 A single dark fiber strand can carry 800 Gbps and beyond, with the right transmission equipment at each end. That equipment determines how much of the fiber's capacity you actually use. Plan the hardware up front so you can easily scale the moment traffic grows. Fiber gives you the runway. The equipment decides how ready you are to use it.

  • AI infrastructure conversations often focus on GPUs, compute, and power. Increasingly, they're also highlighting the importance of the networks that connect it all. A recent article from Data Center Knowledge explores the "network supercycle," examining how AI is driving new demands on network infrastructure as data center capacity continues to grow. As AI workloads scale, it's becoming increasingly clear that high-performance connectivity will play a critical role in supporting the movement of data between enterprises, cloud environments, and AI infrastructure. It's an interesting perspective on how the infrastructure supporting AI continues to evolve.
