Hi everyone I’m a senior from Georgia and I'm planning to apply to Furman this year. I’m especially interested in the Mathematics-Economics B.S. program.
My current stats are a 35 ACT, 3.9 unweighted GPA, 4.4 weighted GPA, 10+ AP courses completed, and decent extracurriculars as well.
I would really appreciate hearing from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the program. How are the economics and math professors? How challenging are the classes, particularly for someone interested in quantitative economics?
I’m also curious about Furman’s opportunities for internships, research, and career placement after graduation especially in areas like economics, finance, data/business analytics, or graduate school.
