Biography

Jeremy Charles Robert Clarkson is an English television presenter, journalist, and writer who specialises in motoring.

Jeremy C R Clarkson was born to Edward & Shirley (Ward) Clarkson on the 11th April 1960 at Doncaster in Yorkshire, England.

He was educated at Hill House School in Doncaster and later at Repton School Derbyshire. The later being of the English public tradition where bullying was always present and one had to stand stand on one own two feet. He was obviously unable to cope with these old traditions and was therefore picked on even more. He rebelled and it was his attitude to the treatment that led to him to being expelled.

His first job was working as a travelling salesman for his father's business of selling stuffed toys.

He married his first wife during the third quarter of 1989 in Hampshire and the marriage apparently ended a few months later in 1990.

He was married for a second time during the second quarter (May) of 1993 at Fulham in London.

Their daughter was born during the final quarter of that same year at Barking. A second daughter was born in Kensington in 1994. Their son was born in Oxford in 1996 and in 1998 their third daughter was born also in Oxford. That marriage failed, reportedly due to his infidelity, in 2014.

His working life was spent in Media through the mediums of journalism, firstly through and even wrote a local papers in northern England before taking on the role of motoring correspondent . In 1984 he expanded his role to testing cars and reporting in automotive journals and even writing a user guide for the 'Amstrad computer' in 1987. His first major television broadcasting was in 1988 and it was here that his controversial approach being very opinionated and irreverent in his approach. His attitude was tolerated because he was funny and attracted viewers. He is also known as a Writer, games show host and more latterly sharing his life, since 2017 with his girlfriend Lisa Hogan at his farm 'Diddly Squat' in Oxfordshire where he described himself as a "trainee farmer".
