2015 AGU Fall Meeting. GIFT Workshop

Geophysical Information for Teachers (GIFT) Workshops — held in conjunction with the annual AGU Fall Meeting — allow K-12 science teachers to hear about the latest geoscience research from the scientists making the discoveries, explore new classroom resources for their students, and visit exhibits and technical sessions of the AGU meeting for free.  AGU collaborates with the National Earth Science Teachers Association (NESTA) to run GIFT workshops at the Fall Meeting.

LEARN with AGU
This series of short Earth and space science-related videos for K-12 educators gives you the tools you need to try new hands-on activities with your students, complete with teacher guides and other resources.

Bright STaRS
AGU is committed to increasing the number and diversity of Earth and space scientists. The Bright STaRS program is a diversity program designed for high school students.  This program provides a dedicated forum for ~100 students to present their own research results to the scientific community and learn about exciting research, education, and career opportunities in the geosciences.

National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
AGU sponsors both a Featured Speaker for the annual NSTA convention and additional speakers as part of the NESTA-NAGT-AGU Earth and Space Science Resource Day during the annual and regional NSTA conventions.
