According to court documents, Landeta used a woman's stolen or lost ID and wrote out three checks stolen from another woman and made out to the owner of the stolen ID. Landeta cashed checks in the amount of $4,200, $4,400 and $4,300 Aug. 22 at Central Bank.
She was accused of taking five fraudulent savings bonds with a face value of $10,000 to Siouxland Federal Credit Union, 1820 Hamilton Blvd., on two occasions and cashing them.
Witnesses told police four people who had earlier been in the SUV with Grant were walking on the sidewalk and Grant sped up as she approached them and ran over the victim from behind before slamming into a parked vehicle. Grant then drove through the grass and sped away.
