In the proposed scheme, the input symbols of different importance levels are first pre\u2010coded into variable nodes using low\u2010density parity\u2010check codes. Then, bit\u2010shift operations prior to exclusive\u2010or are performed on the non\u2010uniformly selected variable nodes to generate encoded symbols. An analysis of the erasure probabilities based on the and\u2010or tree is further introduced.
