{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2024,9,4]],"date-time":"2024-09-04T06:23:21Z","timestamp":1725431001234},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"EasyChair","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"abstract":"<jats:p>The paper presents two examples of non-traditional using of program specialization by Turchin's supercompilation method.<\/jats:p><jats:p>In both cases we are interested in syntactical properties of residual programs produced by supercompilation.<\/jats:p><jats:p>In the first example we apply supercompilation to a program encoding a word equation and as a result we obtain a program  representing a graph<\/jats:p><jats:p>describing the solution set of the word equation.<\/jats:p><jats:p>The idea of the second example belongs to Alexandr V. Korlyukov. He considered an interpreter simulating the dynamic of the well known missionaries-cannibals puzzle.
