NEW: KSTP/SurveyUSA Poll (July 2026)
Just weeks before Minnesota’s Republican primary, a new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll shows Mike Lindell strengthening his position as the frontrunner for Governor following President Donald Trump’s endorsement.
Lindell now leads the Republican field with 35% support, an 8-point increase from last month’s KSTP/SurveyUSA poll. Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth is second at 26%, while GOP-endorsed Kendall Qualls trails at 11%.
The poll also found significant momentum for Lindell among key voting blocs, including a 9-point increase among women and a 17-point increase among voters age 65 and older, further expanding his lead heading into the August primary.
The KSTP/SurveyUSA survey confirms that Mike Lindell remains the clear Republican frontrunner for Governor of Minnesota.
In June, Mike Lindell expanded his lead in the Republican primary for governor in Minnesota, a new internal poll finds. As was also the case in May, the president’s endorsement sends undecided voters and supporters of rival candidates flocking to Lindell, who opens up a more than 20-point lead.
On the initial ballot, Lindell leads his closest competitor Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth among all likely primary voters by 6 points, 27% to 21%, up from 2 points in May prior to the convention. Kendall Qualls, who received the party’s endorsement at the convention, continues to lag behind in third place with 10%. Non-college voters and voters outside the Twin Cities back Lindell, while college educated and Twin Cities voters back Demuth.
“Mike Lindell continues to lead among the core demographics that make up the primary coalition that nominated President Trump in the North Star State, to include the working class voters by income and education levels who were stalwart supporters of the president,” BIG DATA POLL Director Rich Baris, said in a statement. “In giving Lindell the lead both before and after the convention, Republican primary voters are sending a clear message.”
“With the president’s endorsement, this race looks all but over.”
Voters were again asked for whom they would vote if President Trump endorses the conservative businessman. With the presidential endorsement, Lindell’s support grows to 43% and support for Speaker Demuth falls to 17%, widening his overall lead to 26 point, larger than the 22-point lead in May..
BIG DATA POLL conducted a survey interviewing 1,313 registered voters to include 1,214 likely voters from June 26 to June 29, 2026. Results were weighted for sex, age, race and ethnicity,
