Jean Dubuffet

Jean Dubuffet (31 July 1901 – 12 May 1985) was a French painter and sculptor.

He belonged to the École de Paris (School of Paris). He had a take in contemporary art that valued "low art", like the one made by children and mental ill people, and because of that he created the "art brut" ("raw art") movement.[1]
