The Salt Lake Bees are a Minor League Baseball team from South Jordan, Utah.[2] They play baseball at the Triple-A (AAA) level, the most difficult level before Major League Baseball, against other baseball teams in the Pacific Coast League (a group of 10 baseball teams at the same level).[2] The Bees are partnered with the Los Angeles Angels, a Major League Baseball team. When a player shows that he plays well at this level, he may be moved up to play for the Angels.
The team started playing baseball in 1994 as the Salt Lake Buzz. The team changed their name to the Salt Lake Stingers in 2001. They became the Salt Lake Bees in 2006. All of their nicknames have referred to the state of Utah's association with bees.[3]
The Bees have played at a stadium called The Ballpark at America First Square since 2025. Before that, they played at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City from 1994 to 2024.
