N-propionitrile brorphine has been found in Upstate New York. It’s a new synthetic drug called 'orphines'—not commonly found in the drug supply. Recently, it showed up as an unexpected contaminant in fentanyl and medetomidine. If you or someone you know uses substances, test them before use, avoid using alone, order free naloxone and be prepared to provide rescue breathing.
