It's ambitious, but there's no real spark of life. [Sept 2016, p.111]

Inoffensive and enjoyable enough for action-RPG fans, but it does far too little to distinguish itself. [Aug 2016, p.78]
Good for a fight, dull for everything else. [Issue#176, p.81]

The team writes intelligent, worthy scenarios and narratives, and then they do the best they can to build gameplay to support that concept.

Spiders has design an ARPG with a great story and a dynamic combat system but with some problems in the progression of the game. Too many missions make you feel like a messenger and make for a slow development of the plot.

Can't understand where all the bitterness comes from. This is one of the finest games i've played and it's loads of fun.

Excellent game, I am enjoying very much. I would really give it a 9, but just went with 10 to try and counter balance the morons giving it a 0. Cool story, great setting and atmosphere and fun game play. Considering this game was done by a small studio with a limited budget, it is fantastic. There are some minor issues but nothing that stops me enjoying it :)

This is a game full of potential successes. Unfortunately it lacks atmosphere and features a few annoying elements. Still it is worth a try because of all the options and the changing storylines it offers, but not at full price.

The Technomancer is an ambitious sci-fi RPG limited by the realities of budgets. Fun and intriguing, but lacking polish and certain genre staples.

The Technomancer tries to make an effort. Almost every aspect that you would expect from a roleplaying experience is there. Multifaceted character development, party-interaction, decisions with consequences, crafting, stealth. But there is not enough quality, everything seems superficial. In the post-Witcher 3 or-Fallout 4 era you have to do better.

Overall it feels like an atmospheric step forward for the developer, but a mechanical trip backwards. Until that gets sorted, the red planet can wait.

The developer's ambition to make a triple-A title without the resources of a larger studio gets the better of them.

This game is top tier rpg. Beatiful graphics and lighting make for jaw dropping landscapes, great story, characters and choice you make matter. A main character that is powerful in damage yet weak in health work with the plotline immersion. The game actualy make you want to do the bad options unlike most games. More enemy diversity than a mass effect game that allows you to actualy fight non human races. It has flaws in basicaly only human graphics of unimportant npc.

Quite enjoyable, but quickly forgettable. If there had been a little more fluidity to enemy spawning rates and locations then things might have been a bit more interesting. But, no. The enemies were in the exact same spot every time, and followed the same attack pattern without fail. Which isn't much fun, but did allow for easy grinding. The skill tree looked interesting, but I didn't bother with it. Seemed like a lot of fuss and nonsense to be honest. Lock-picking and a good knife was all I needed, even on hard mode. Which, it turned out, wasn't. Every character has a story. It's up to you if you want to know about their particular sad tale. Yes, they're all sad. If you do bother speaking in detail then you get 'rewarded' with a buddy mission. Which "warms your soul". Apparently. The game looks nice, plays well, and given that it's often on sale now then you might as well play it.

Mediocre story, minimal customization, very small area for the missions, you have to go a lot of times (really a lot) to the same places for both side and main quests, no expressions on the faces, boring and repetitive fights, more or less good but not great graphics, limited control of the powers (you have to swap abilities and pause the game all the time, really a game with potential, badly done.

I was so let down by this game, simply put....disappointed. The characters were wooden, the graphics were just about acceptable except the environments was cool ( citys, landscape, mars etc). the gameplay was so generic and rock hard, you take like 2-3 hits and your dead as the enemys just average thugs will take like 8 hits (what?!). The story itself was serviceable. The soundtrack was okay. All together this game is just a drag. Its poorly executed and it would of been better if it didn't exist in the first place. I hope spiders do better next time but i won't pre ordering from them again.
