Parks and Recreation is a rare gem--a TV comedy that's sweet, good-hearted and even inspirational, but also completely hilarious.

Beyond blissful laughs, Parks and Recreation offers a healthy image of political cooperation at a time when we could really use it.

NBC did renew Parks and Recreation and, like a small miracle of second-act redemption, it comes back on Thursday as a fully realized and very funny sitcom.

It has a kind of sunny charm, a premise fit for a novel, and is built upon a pair of strong female leads, a rare enough thing in sitcoms. Poehler and Jones have a nice, contrapuntal rhythm. I stamp this show: approved.

Poehler has great skill at delivering outrageous lines in a droll deadpan. That sets the tone for a cast, including Lowe and Scott, with similar abilities. Too many of the sketches, though, cross that fine but visible line between bemused absurdity and slapstick.

Parks never expends enough energy to even approach funny, but even if it were more amusing, that sour whiff of gratuitous cruelty would still linger.

My absolute favourite show. All of the characters are perfect and the show has a beautiful ending making everything feel worth it. (I definitely want to write a longer review but it's 1:24am) Watched count: 3

I just had to add a short review as me and the wife just finished Parks and The Good Place and I was appalled to see Parks sitting far lower, Parks is a WAAAAAAY better show, I laughed more and I cared more for the characters in Parks, every relationship in the Good Place felt forced and I rarely laughed, it's not a terrible show but Parks is so much better.

quarentine time so time to watch those awesome meme series amirite? always wanted to watch The Office, so i did it. It was time to watch that awesome Ron Swanson serie. Right off the bat i discovered the main character is Lesli Knob, a total Hillary Clinton knock off, and guess what, she has a photo of that person on her office. All in all, the best character isn't even the main one, so i got to say this character is pure garbage.

Low quality office knockoff where all characters are unsympathetic slapstick dysfunctional idiots. Tbf it’s a death sentence for the cast. Why do ppl carbon copy stuff? Instead wasting their an viewers time they could have come up with something “original”
