Paul Williams was an American singer. He was the original lead singer for the Motown group The Temptations.[1]
Paul Williams was a member of the Temptations. He and his best friend Eddie Kendricks met Otis Williams. At first Paul and Eddie were part of The Primes and The Supremes were The Primettes. Soon after that Paul and Eddie would join Otis of the Elgins fame without a contract. Later Melvin Franklin and David Ruffin would join to become The Temptations. Paul suffered from alcoholism and suicidal thoughts, he ended his own life in 1973. At the time of Paul's death he was married with five children. He had three other children as well.
He was the son of Sophia and Rufus Williams.
