Some people are confused about our reaction. To be honest, latest devices using Vulkan is a good thing. We want to see how Intel is gonna handle ANV in Android with the release of their Googlebooks. What concern us is the "Android's Vulkan-only Strategy" picture....

With Android 17, many new devices will be using the Vulkan graphics API instead of OpenGL for UI rendering.

Linux distro can just make another package called "mesa-amber2" or something and call it a day Meanwhile over here we'd (us and @waydroid ) have to build 2 different Mesa libs in a single system image. So libEGL_mesa/libEGL_mesa_amber, libGLES_mesa and libGLES_mesa_amber, etc.
