Great ideas happen when you combine innovation, competition and a little friendly rivalry. Candescent's first company-wide AI hackathon is the proof.    Hundreds of employees came together for 48 hours to tackle real business challenges across security, onboarding, payments, operational intelligence, and product innovation.   The challenge sparked creativity. The competition fueled momentum. And the results went far beyond the event itself, with 10 of the top 120 submitted ideas advancing into active development within weeks.   A special thank you to CTO Satheesh Ravala for kicking off what has now become a catalyst for a quarterly AI innovation program where innovation can thrive and great ideas break through.   Read the Devpost article: https://lnkd.in/eG2BaztV

🚀 200 developers in 24 hours. 📈 1,000 in a week. 🔥 2,000 in two weeks — and climbing. Two weeks ago, we launched our first global virtual hackathon with Devpost for CALL-E, a goal-driven, adaptive and localized AI agent that makes phone calls. The story of CALL-E was straightforward: there's no shortage of AI tools that can chat with you, brainstorm with you, or generate your slide decks, code, and docs. But how about picking up the phone for you and interacting with the real world? So we built CALL-E — a goal-driven, adaptive, localized AI agent that makes real phone calls. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠. 📞 Over the past few weeks, we've seen developers tinker with CALL-E to produce helpful innovations like: 💊 Agents that call local pharmacies to check medication stock 🔐 Voice authentication for SMB customer platforms 📊 Automated phone surveys for social research It's been exhilarating to bring this product out of stealth mode, and watching developers run with this fast. So is your code calling? Maybe it should. The age of manual phone calls is dead. 🤫 Yechang Hu Vadim Smirnov Sara Sitzer Dave Anderson Adriel Yong Joyce Lee

  • Another Devpost Build Session for Agentic Cinema! Introducing The Agent's Memory: Powering Real-Time AI Workflows with ClickHouse. If you're on the ClickHouse track (or just curious about their MCP in general), this is a session you won't want to miss. You'll walk away with a working example of an agent actually calling ClickHouse tools, plus a look at ClickHouse Agent Skills to speed up your dev process. 📅 Aug 18, 11:00 AM ET Register today: https://lnkd.in/d66hk8SY

  • Prompt, answer, "Hey, do better", "No, not that.", repeat. That's the old cycle of building with and leveraging AI. Google Cloud's new hackathon, All Things Agentic, is asking builders to go further: create agents that take a goal, make a plan, and carry it out end to end. Built on Gemini 3.5 and Google's Agent Development Kit, this is a global hackathon open to every skill level. Three tracks to choose from: Taskmaster — automate a real, messy workflow end to end Collaborative Partner — build an agent that guides and adapts to the user Fortified Enterprise Fleet — build agents that operate safely inside enterprise infrastructure $180,000 in prizes. $150 in Google Cloud credits to get started. Submissions close August 31. Register Today!: https://lnkd.in/dM4UGX4S

  • Help looks different depending on who needs it. For an individual, it might be one less thing on their plate like a bill paid on time or a schedule that manages itself. For a professional, it's the edge that makes the repetitive, judgment-heavy parts of the job faster without cutting corners. For a nonprofit, it's coordination that used to eat a volunteer's whole weekend. Agents for Humans Hackathon from Amazon Web Services (AWS) is built around that range. Three tracks: Everyday Agents, Professional Agents, Good Neighbor Agents 💰 $40,000 in prizes 📅 Deadline: September 14 Register today to build → bit.ly/agentsforhumans26li

Woo hoo! 🎉 Our #AskSafe #Home won 🏆 #First Place – #OpenInnovation Prize at #H0: Hack the Zero Stack with #Vercel v0 and #AWS Databases—our first #Devpost online hackathon! Nearly 9,800 builders showed up to prove they could ship a full-stack application with a production-grade backend. To be recognised among this incredible community is truly special. I’m incredibly proud to have built #AskSafeHome together with Cynthia Zhang, Yang Shu, and Emilie (Yue) Ouyang. As a team, we created an AI-powered full-stack application that helps seniors pause, understand risk signals and safely navigate uncertain messages, calls, video chats, or payment requests before acting. We were awarded $10,000 USD in cash and $10,000 in AWS Credits. More importantly, this win motivates us to keep building technology that helps people feel safer and more confident online. Thank you to my teammates, Devpost, Vercel, v0 by Vercel, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and everyone who supported us throughout the journey.
