Teamed up with Monarx on zero-day disclosure. Big thank you to their team and our researchers participating to make sure users stay secure!
Zero-days do not wait for a convenient moment. A live WooCommerce compromise led Monarx Principal Security Engineer Joe Bruno to uncover a previously undocumented vulnerability in Gift Cards for WooCommerce Pro. The issue is now published as CVE-2026-45444, with a CVSS 10.0 severity score, after coordinated disclosure with Patchstack. The important part: this was not a known weakness being reused. It was actively exploited in the wild, on a current plugin version, before a public patch was available. Great work by Joe Bruno and thank you to Patchstack for helping coordinate disclosure and protection for the WordPress ecosystem. "You use AI to create bad things? We're using AI to protect from those bad things that AI creates." Threat actors are using LLMs to create more dangerous malware. Defenders have to fight fire with fire. It's an eternal game of cat and mouse. The question is: 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽? Full Q&A with Salvador Aguilar @ Monarx linked in the comments 💬
