Abstract

To ensure the high resolution, orthogonal-time-frequency-space (OTFS) signal require a large frame plane with a huge number of quantification lattices. However, this will lead to the high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) as well as the energy waste problem. To address these issues, we propose in this paper a low-complexity PAPR reduction scheme for OTFS signals based on clipping and noise compression. Moreover, we present detailed analysis on the PAPR performance and the processing complexity to verify the flexibility of the proposed scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme has superior performance to existing benchmarks in terms of 2-3 dB reduction in PAPR.
