Not much more to say than the headline. It's just great overall. It cools my Raspberry Pi 4 under full load extremely well without making any noise at all. Not to mention it looks quite nice and it feels sturdy. All the cutouts are in the right place and it's easy as pi to assemble.

Put a little double sided velcro on it, stick it under your table or behind your monitor and you're golden.

I wouldn't consider any other case. Just buy it.

Cracking product.

It's very well made and has a premium feel to it. The aluminium is well machined and does a fantastic job of keeping the pi cool. I use this Pi for maven builds and the like which sees the CPU run at 100% for the duration of the build process. The pi maintains stability and the top of the case sits at around the mid 30 degrees during build.

It looks great and blends in with its surroundings.

Well, yes, this is probably the best looking case for a Pi.

Unfortunately it has 2 problems:

1. The plastic elements are covered with a soft touch surface. Looks very good until you touch it - it absorb the grease on your fingers and it's hard to remove it. Also all products I had with this kind of "premium" surface got it degraded in 2-3 years - it became some kind of rubber adhesive getting dirty and bad looking. With high temperature, this may happen faster.

2. Even if they say this was thermally designed for Pi 4, it's not. They just took the old case and redesigned the holes in it so it can fit the 4. They even removed the backplate holes used for ventilation. So, this gets very hot. Luckily there is now a new Pi firmware who help it cooling. Don't forget to update.

The entire case act as a cooler, but due to design only the external laterals are useful. By removing the plastic top the temperature will fall about 2-3 degrees very fast - more useful surface and the holes who keep the cover in place now can evacuate some hot air from inside - there is no ventilation inside - the internal surface also act as a radiator heating the air inside - which is not good.

I believe it needs a second iteration with holes in the backplate - as the old Pi 3 case, but also some holes in the top of the aluminium body ( in the power area and in the memory/controllers area ) and for cover some aluminium mesh - like the one used in some radio receivers on the speakers. This will help a lot with passive cooling.

Great quality case all round - solid metal chassis with decent quality threads and screws, well put together. Pi 4B fits in well and aligns with socket holes. Best part though is the passive cooling with the thermal sticker to connect the metal chassis to the CPU. This works really well, I ran a CPU stress test for 5 minutes and the core temp never exceeded 49C. No throttling.

Using a Raspberry Pi as a webserver and wanted it to run cool without a fan. This case is brilliant. NB I left off the top plastic cover and added heatsink fins, also filling the cavity above the SOC package with beeswax (melting point about 63 deg, to help a bit for any short term peak load). At a 20 deg C ambient temperature, at idle, the Pi runs at about 38 deg - compared with 58 deg in the standard Raspberry Pi case!

Max temperature under sustained 100% CPU loading was only 48 deg C.

The basic plastic case provided with my Raspberry Pi 4 was a good start. But I found that the fan was too loud. After enough research, I stumbled upon this, and I have not looked back!

This case is designed to act as a big heatsink and passively cool. Dead easy to put together, looks great and does very well at keeping my Pi cool. Idling at 38 with a max temp reached of 46 so far.

I reused the mini CPU heatsink and stuck it into the well of the case where it sits on the CPU, just for giggles.

Nice kit, does a great job in keeping the pi cool. No moving parts to worry about and looks great!

Um meinen ioBroker-Server zu weiter auszubauen bin ich auf von meinem Raspberry 3b+ auf einen RaspberryPi4 B umgestiegen. Während mein 3B+ in seinem alten Plastikgehäuse (ohne Lüfter) und mit den üblichen Kühlkörpern auf CPU und GPU durchschnittlich 61° C hatte, wird der Raspi 4B in diesem Gehäuse bei gleicher Belastung (die selbe Installation meines Servers) durchschnittlich nur 47° C warm. Selbst mit 10 minütigen Stresstest Programm unter 100%iger Vollast aller 4 Kerne haben der Prozessor und die GPU nie über 58° C erreicht. Also die Kühlung (ohne lästigem Geräusch eines Lüfters) ist absolut Top. Das Gehäuse wird maximal handwarm und ist somit jederzeit gefahrlos anzugreifen! Die Verarbeitung des Gehäuses ist erstklassig. Es sieht super aus, hat auch einen Schlitz über die die LED angezeigt werden und durch das Verschrauben des Deckels sitzt der Raspberry perfekt und wackelfrei im Gehäuse. Außerdem hat das Alugehäuse auch ein noch angenehmes Gewicht und da kein Lüfter verbaut werden muss, kann dieser auch nicht kaputtgehen! Zugegeben der Preis scheint etwas hoch, aber dafür bekommt man etwas geboten! Top Kühlung, Top Design, Top Verarbeitung, Perfekte Kühlung ohne Lüfter - Was will man mehr! Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Loving this little case and its passive cooling approach. All the ports line up as expected and it looks quite neat.

Not having a fan means my Home Assistant Raspberry Pi can live the quiet life in the cupboard without sucking in dust.

Used this for a raspberry pi 4b, the styling is stunning and I haven't come across another case that looks as sleek as this. The main benefit other than looks however is its sturdiness, since the silver portion is made of metal, and its awesome passive cooling. I use the pi as a music streamer and have it on 24/7, the pi reports its CPU temps ranging from 45-55 degrees, varying based on the ambient temp of the room. It is warm to the touch when running since it acts like a heatsink. Bottom and top are not made of metal but plastic (top is soft touch plastic). Micro sd card is accessible which is a good bonus. Comes with a thermal pad to place in between the CPU and the metallic portion of the case to give it direct contact and heat transfer. Wouldn't want any other case!

Everything works perfectly as described and shared by many. Temperature is lowered by a lot (in the low 40s Celsius) without any fan. The design is also elegant and the material used felt sturdy.

I LOVE THIS CASE!!! It is SO simple to assemble and works EXACTLY as advertised. It simply does what I need it to do!!!

To address issues raised by a couple of other reviewers:

1) One person gave it 1 star because there are no port labels. If you don't know the difference between USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, you probably don't need to be working with Linux based systems and SBC projects. No port labels isn't a deal breaker for me. Is it for you?

2) One person gave it 1 star because of the space between the built-in heatsink and the CPU. NEWS FLASH: the case comes with a thermal PAD! Not thermal paste. Not thermal tape. A THERMAL PAD!!!!!! The space is there to accommodate the thickness of the pad. In fact, another reviewer measured the distance between the heatsink and the CPU in order to purchase a copper heatsink thick enough to bridge the gap. He then added thermal paste. This gap is supposed to be there.

Bottom line, the case is the best on the market! It SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the operating temp without any of the noise a fan produces. It's also a sleek design. AND the value is just unbeatable. Try it out. You won't buy another case for your Pis.
