Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Download Wikipedia App on iOS
  • Add Picture of the Day Widget to Home Screen (any size)
  • Observe same picture on every day

What happens?:
The picture of two bulls running with a man holding on to them is the only picture that shows on every day.

What should have happened instead?:
A different Picture of the Day should show on each day for the widget.

Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
iOS app version 8.2.0, running on iOS 26.1

Appears to be fixed on 6125-beta-2026-07-24
Tested all the widgets, and changed the device date to check other days. Will check tomorrow as well.

iPhone 16, iOS 26.4.2
iPhone XS, iOS 26.2.1
iPad Air 11 inch, iPadOS 26.3.1
