Rex Reed

Rex Taylor Reed (October 2, 1938 May 12, 2026) was an American movie critic, journalist, and actor, . He was the co-host for At the Movies. He worked for the New York Observer. He appeared as himself in the 1978 movie Superman.

Reed was born on October 2, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas.[1] He was raised in New York City. He was good friends with Liz Smith.[2]

Reed died at his home in New York City on May 12, 2026 from a short-illness at the age of 87.[3][4]
