Preparing for the Removal of PHP 8.2 

PHP 8.2 will be removed from WP Cloud on December 15, 2026.

WP Cloud follows the PHP project’s supported-versions life cycle. Each release branch is supported for two years from its initial stable release, plus an additional two years for critical security fixes only.

Each year, WP Cloud hosts should work with their customers to upgrade sites away from retiring PHP versions by December 15th at 12:00 UTC. We recommend starting upgrade planning, default changes, and user-facing removal processes as early as possible and well before the platform removal deadline.

WP Cloud plans deprecations and default-version changes in advance and publish these notices on the WP Cloud blog and the Platform Update Schedule.

With this schedule in mind, please be aware that PHP 8.2 will be removed from WP Cloud on December 15, 2026 at 12:00 UTC.
