Tottenham player ratings: Harry Kane the hat-trick hero as Steven Bergwijn and Lo Celso dazzle

Here's how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players in their 7-2 victory against Maccabi Haifi in their Europa League play-off match

Joe Hart

Pulled off an excellent early save from Chery but could do nothing to stop the same player's wonderful shot from distance. Saved another effort just before the break and made a full length top drawer tip away early in the second half. Could not save the second half penalty but did save again low down with five minutes to go. 8

Matt Doherty

So unfortunate to give away another penalty for handball. He could not do a thing and his arm was by his side. Other than that was tested down his flank and it will continue his self-professed education at right-back. 6

Jose Mourinho after 7-2 Maccabi Haifa win

Davinson Sanchez

Got told off by Mourinho in the first half for a sloppy moment and got caught ball watching a few times. 6

Toby Alderweireld

He made a crucial sliding challenge to stop a big chance early on. The better of the central duo in the night but that's not saying too much on a shaky night for the defence. 7

Ben Davies

He knows he has a tough task on his hands with Reguilon's arrival and debut and he looked to attack from the off, setting up Kane after just 93 seconds and then teeing up Lo Celso for his first. He might just claim a third assist as it was his cross that hit an arm to give Spurs a penalty just before the hour mark. His defending was the best of the back four as well. 8

Harry Winks

Another who got it in the ear from Mourinho during the game for a bit of sloppy tracking back. Plenty of energy other than that but got caught out by the quick transitions of the visitors at times. Grew as the game wore on though. 7

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

A mostly tidy performance in the centre of the pitch but he could have closed down Chery better for the first half equaliser. 7

Giovani Lo Celso

Sent a shot into the side-netting in the first half after a great sliding challenge before taking the ball into his stride. Scored his first with a curling effort after Davies teed him up and then dinked a delightful finish over the keeper on the run to double his Spurs career tally. Taken off at half-time to save him for Sunday. 9

Steven Bergwijn

A bright first half with a couple of runs and shots at goal, one of which the keeper spilled. Grabbed an assist when Lucas headed home his corner. Ran through in the second half but was denied by the keeper and stung his hands soon after with a curler from outside the box. He then set up Kane brilliantly for his hat-trick with a run, change of feet and pass. Two assists and did everything but get the goal he deserved. 9

Harry Kane

Just 93 seconds to open the scoring with an undetected run and volley from close range. Set up Lo Celso for his second goal before the break. Fired home his second from the penalty spot in the second half and then deftly clipped his third over the goalkeeper. A hat-trick and an assist means there's no other mark really. 10

Lucas Moura

Two goals in two starts for Spurs as he flicked on Bergwijn's corner into the net with his head. In the second half he turned and danced between two challenges but his shot was blocked and then he fired wide soon after with a powerful effort. 8

Subs

Dele Alli

Worked hard and earned a penalty with a lovely bit of skill. Grabbed the ball and tucked it away. 7

Moussa Sissoko

Came on and brought his usual busy play to the centre of the pitch. 6

Sergio Reguilon

Replaced Kane with 15 minutes to go to bring some more pace on down the left. 5
