Summer is here and so is Team 37! 🎊🌞 The new postgraduate interns got started last week and finished off orientation to the National Office with a trip to Nashville, Tennessee! Highlights of the trip included a visit to Vanderbilt University, Trevecca Nazarene University, Belmont University, Nashville Predators, and Nashville Sports Council. They also got to catch up with former PGIP, Eden Mittelsdorf who now works with the Tennessee Titans. Recognizing our incredible director of Inclusion and Community Engagement, Niya Blair Hackworth, Ed.D for representing the NCAA at the second annual Native Student-Athlete Summit! Niya joined nearly 60 Native student-athletes and administrators to address critical issues facing Indigenous athletes in collegiate sports while celebrating Native excellence. Each session taught student-athletes about themselves and what they represent, giving them a voice and connecting through sports.
