👭 Inclusive leadership starts by listening to the next generation! On International #YouthDay, we are highlighting the voices, experiences and perspectives of young women leaders from around the world who are already contributing to more inclusive, equal and democratic communities. Through #WYDEWomensLeadership, coordinated with UN Women, International IDEA and Inter-Parliamentary Union, UCLG is working to strengthen intergenerational women’s leadership by creating spaces for mentorship, peer learning and exchange. Connecting generations of women leaders is essential to creating stronger pathways for young women to develop their leadership, share their experiences, learn from one another and take an active role in shaping the future of their communities. 📢 We're launching a new call for proposals on the "Universal Guidelines on the Local Inclusion Agenda". 🤝The selected partner will help us design and deliver a training programme that strengthens the capacities of local and regional governments to lead sustainable, inclusive and resilient urban transformation. 🎓 We're looking for experienced individuals or organizations to develop high-quality learning content and deliver engaging training that equips local government professionals with the knowledge and practical skills they need to address today's urban challenges. 🗒️ The contents of the ULIA training program will be based on the Local Inclusion Agenda Toolkit as well as the ULIA outcome document, co created by UCLG members and partners. 💼If your organisation has expertise in capacity building, disability inclusion and learning methodologies, we encourage you to apply. 📄 Read the full tender via the link in the comments. ⏳ Deadline for submissions: August 24th

The 100 Days of Local Multilateralism have demonstrated the essential role of local and regional governments in connecting global commitments with tangible action, strengthening multilevel governance, and advancing a shared vision for the post-2030 development agenda. 👥 Led by the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, with ICLEI, the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) and United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) at the helm, this collective journey shows that stronger multilateralism starts with stronger local action. 📢 Call for Proposals: Join us in developing a new Training of Trainers module on local care policies At United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), we are taking a major step forward in advancing care systems and gender equality across cities and regions worldwide. Developed under the EU-funded WYDE Women´s Leadership Program (implemented in partnership with UN Women), the module will provide trainers and practitioners with adaptable resources to support public officials and political leaders in designing, implementing and assessing care-responsive policies. Drawing on the GOLD VII research process and experiences from cities and regions worldwide, the module will combine conceptual content, practical case studies and interactive learning activities that can be adapted to different local contexts.
