2K Games ye una empresa distribuidora de videoxuegos con sede'n Novato (California)[1] , filial de Take-Two Interactive, empresa que tamién ye propietaria de Rockstar Games, creadora de la serie Grand Theft Auto. Foi fundada'l 25 de xineru de 2005 dempués de que Take-Two adquiriera al desendolcador Visual Concepts y la so filial Kush Games de Sega por 24 millones de dólares d'Estaos Xuníos.[2]
El nome 2K Games vien de la serie de videoxuegos de deportes de Visual Concepts, llinia que típicamente se refier a la serie 2K, que se publicó orixinalmente n'esclusiva pa la consola Dreamcast. 2K Games publica una amplia variedá de títulos desenvueltos pa consoles y PCs tanto de forma interna, por aciu los sos estudios filiales (2K Czech, Firaxis Games, Irrational Games, 2K China, 2K Marin, Visual Concepts, Cat Daddy Games y 2K Australia) como esternamente. Enantes la empresa englobaba a otros estudios yá zarraos o absorbíos: Frog City Software, Indie Built, Venom Games y PopTop Software.
