This page's title fails wp:noun. Specifically, the "Use Nouns" paragraph describes what to do with an adjective page title like this one. It should be a disambiguation only. Tayste (edits) 03:06, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

I propose that Bayesian (a disambiguation page) be merged into List of things named after Thomas Bayes (a list article). Since List of things named after Thomas Bayes contains all the terms listed in Bayesian, the practical effect of the merge would be to redirect Bayesian (and Bayesian (disambiguation), Bayesians and Bayseian) to List of things named after Thomas Bayes. See the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bayesian which was closed as no consensus pending Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation#Disambiguation of adjectives which has dried-up. • Question. Would merging allow preserving the information contained in the lead paragraph of the Bayesian page? The meaning of the adjective "Bayesian" is more specific than generically referring to anything related to the Reverend. Consider a neophyte Wikipedia user wishing to understand the meaning of, say, "Bayesian forecasting" – a term in use on which we have no article. Just having this long dry list of all things named after Thomas Bayes we have articles on will not be very helpful. The specific mentioning of Bayesian inference as a key Bayesian concept will help to put this user on the right trail.  --Lambiam 16:00, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
  • Yes, a good lede is a trait of a featured list. And this one has chances to become one, because it is a highly non-random (sorry for accidental pun) list. I've checked both articles, and Bayesian duplicates everything in 'List of things..' though the latter contains additional article names not in 'Bayesian'.
