Roderick "Trey" Pierce (born December 14, 2004) is an American football defensive tackle for the Michigan Wolverines.
Early life
[edit]Pierce attended Brother Rice High School in Chicago, Illinois. Coming out of high school, he received offers from schools such as UConn, Duke, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa State, Purdue, and Syracuse, and committed to play college football for the Wisconsin Badgers.[1][2] However, Piece later de-committed from the Badgers and signed to play for the Michigan Wolverines.[3]
College career
[edit]As a freshman in 2023, Pierce posted two tackles in 13 games played.[4] In the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl, he got his first career start in an upset victory against Alabama.[5] In 2024, Pierce registered seven tackles.[6] He entered the 2025 season as a starter on the Wolverines defensive line.[7] Pierce started all 13 games and recorded 30 tackles, earning all-Big Ten honorable mention.[8]
Personal life
[edit]Pierce is the older brother of Michigan linebacker Christian Pierce.[9]
