Prostitution in Germany

Regarding your "edit war" comment, do you think this isn't a clear case of vandalism? They are changing it to random countries/regions (Germany, Netherlands, Africa, etc.). I don't think this is a content dispute. Also, should be mentioned, the previous version was cited in the body (this is in the lead). LordCollaboration (talk) 02:49, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi LordCollaboration, I can agree that it is at the very least disruptive editing. I didn't check the previous edits besides the most recent one, and it does indeed appear to be Subtle vandalism, or at the very least Accidental misinformation. I'm still relatively new to Wikipedia, so can't really say for sure whether this is or isn't an edit war.

I did try to check if there were any footnotes that were relevant to the Human rights part, but couldn't find any (even in the body). At the very least, I think adding a direct footnote to that sentence would greatly help clarify what the two correct countries are.

Yeah, the sentence probably needs to be reworded. But the Eastern Europe part seems mostly supported by the body, and certainly more so than the Netherlands or Africa or (etc.) ("The same study found that 63% of the sex workers in Germany were foreigners, with two thirds of them coming from Central and Eastern Europe.", "According to Susanne Bleier Wilp of the Association for Erotic and Sexual Services Providers lobby group in Berlin, 80% of the prostitutes working in Germany at the time were foreign, mainly from Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, and Ukraine.", etc.) The latter is perhaps what the sentence is referring to for a Human Rights body? I am not sure, and that's only one.

Double heading on user talk page

Hello, MSWS. When you welcomed a user recently at User talk:Saatyc, you ended up creating two headers: 1='December 2025' and 2='Welcome!' . MSWS, you might want to take a closer look at my recent edits to the Cheap Trick page. My edits removed unsourced material, fixed multiple factual errors, and created more connection between the lead and the article body. There was no reason for you to post any warnings on my talk page. If you have any issues with my edits, the article talk page would be the best place to raise them. Hi, I couldn't find a reliable source stating that Daxx Nielsen left the band.

There is also a former members field which you likely want to add him to (along with the corresponding citation) if this happened.

If the issue at present is that he never actually joined the band (and is simply touring with them as a paid hand), then I apologize for the confusion. (Though, at least one site says otherwise). MSWS (talk) 23:24, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

I believe he is still the touring drummer. Some sources say he's a member of the band, but I think they are mistaken. He was originally hired as the touring drummer and I don't see anything saying he got upgraded to being a full band member. His own website identifies him as the touring drummer of Cheap Trick (https://www.daxxnielsen.com/bio). On the other hand, he is photographed with the band members on the Cheap Trick website. To add a poster to a page, you'll first need to find the poster.

If possible, find an image that properly represents the article (e.g: movie poster, tv banner, etc.), refer to the image use policy for more info. Wikipedia has a helpful guide here that I'd recommend reading.

Briefly:

1. Upload the image using the upload wizard
2. Update the relevant article with [[Image:FILENAME|alt=ALT TEXT|TITLE TEXT]] with the infobox. Most articles that are for media will have a relevant image field, eg: | image = Star Trek The Next Generation Logo.svg

If you ever get stuck, you can always go to your favorite TV show to see how they did it, and follow their formatting.

I would like to understand why the citation replacement was considered unnecessary.

I noticed that my citation replacement was reverted as an unnecessary change. My understanding was that the original Parker page is no longer accessible, so I created a detailed technical article covering the same topic in order to provide readers with an accessible reference.

Could you explain whether the issue is that the archived Parker source is still considered sufficient, or that replacing the original source with a different publisher is generally not acceptable? Hi @GrenkoGrenko56915073:, after looking further into it I see now that the original sources were unsuccessfully archived. I failed to do my due diligence when looking into why you were replacing the links; at first glance it appeared to be changing an unnecessary citation without changing the correlating claim.

I'm fine with restoring your edits. Generally archival links are preferred where possible (archive.org); in most cases wholly substituting one website for another may require attention to what the citation was used for. In this case it's likely not needed as they're simply describing the technologies used.
