Crossbones

Don't be a fun sponge dude. He is crossbones in Captain America 3. Use the name distinguishes him from his depiction in the previous movie where, accurately, he is not yet Crossbones. His chest has the logo on it, is referred to as such in interviews with the major creatives. The aliases rarely get mentioned on-screen across all the characters. Everything must follow reliable sources, Wikipedia policies, and community guidelines. Box office

Hi, I wanted to ask about the updated box office figures for Brand New Day. I would have updated the figures myself today, but I'm still learning what to add and how to do it, and I don't want to rush into it. My question is: given the new information released today, should we simply adjust the Sunday figures to reflect Monday's numbers, or should we add a separate explanation for the data of the earnings posted today? Your Swamp Thing deletion of the (line 1) year is wrong

Your reversion/deletion of the Swamp Thing year in intro is wrong.

If you look at almost any series, movie, book, wiki article, it will have year in first or second line. Not the second paragraph. That’s because it’s crucial for a reader to have a clue what the thing is, possibly what century or decade, possibly which version/generation, especially when it’s part of a larger property and when there’s multiple other shows of the same thing, to place it within human history. It’s the single most universal bit in a lead assuming a person got the title correct (and assuming a person wants to understand the subject).

Currently, it’s not covered more appropriately later, because paragraph 2 isn’t early enough for it and the current one is half-irrelevant for a lead. The relevant bits being: A) year B) maybe one sentence about immediate cancellation, because there’s a later section C) the line about reception. If the cancellation and protest effort is important (not necessarily true) then a brief line should be moved to lead. But none of this means that the year should only be in paragraph 2 or that a narration of release of episodes should be in the lead. A cancellation story being in the lead is a bad reason for relegating the year only to paragraph 2.

So I’m curious:

1. If I posted a discussion for comment, do you think wikipedia consensus would agree with your deletion and your claim that year doesn’t belong in the first 1-2 lines? Given that that’s in 440,000,000 articles, for good reason?
2. Are you aware that there are 3 different Swamp Thing TV series?
3. If the original edit summary simply said “added year as basic immediate crucial info in first 1-2 lines” would you have agreed, since it wouldn’t have mentioned a hover-over/rendering/device issue?
4. Why would the text not be the place to address a problem of relevant info missing from the text when a person is seeing the first 1-2 lines?

Every single CW superhero television series plus those from DC Universe do not have the year in the lead, so since they all follow that formatting, that should be retained for Swamp Thing as well. Your edit summary noted it was because of the pop up page previews, so if those need more disambiguation information shown on there, that's a WP:Page Previews problem, not an article problem. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:58, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
