 You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our Free Culture Friday / Wiki Loves Fútbol World Cup Watch Party at Prime Produce in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. No experience of anything at all is required. All are welcome! This special event will feature starting at 1:30 pm a Wikimedia Foundation meet-and-greet bringing together local staff and community, and then at 3 pm a Wiki Loves Fútbol watch party and edit-a-thon for the Second Quarter-Final, 2026 FIFA World Cup (Q137545497). - A request for comment proposes an addendum for the Real name section of the Username policy.
Technical news
- The special page Special:RangeCalculator has been created for any users to use to find an IP range. (phab:T268429)
- The "indefinitely" button in Special:Block for temporary accounts can be replaced with a preferred block duration stated on MediaWiki:ipb-indefinite-expiry-temporary-account. (phab:T427125)
Arbitration
- Following a series of motions, changes to the contentious topics procedure to restructure awareness have been implemented.
- The arbitration case Michael Jackson has been closed.
