Late September request for Eternal Blue (album)
[edit]I hope I'm in the right place. I understand if this cannot be done at this point, but I am hoping 42 days is enough. The slot for September 17, 2026 is currently held by Endometriosis. I have contacted the nominator, Femke, and have received their blessing to switch the two articles, if this is possible. I'll post my appeal from what I left on their talk page.
Basically, I'd always intended to ask for this day, but I have a limited number of features and am not used to requesting a TFA day. I had this day in mind for Eternal Blue (album), my only solo effort. Its fifth anniversary is approaching and I was hoping to have it on the front for that day. I guess it's been so long since I've had one scheduled, that I forgot the time interval that they're supposed to be set, and by the time I went to go do it we were in October already. I was also on vacation from July 25 until today, so I didn't really get much of a chance to submit an inquiry anyway. I did recently have Bleed American run, but that was picked from the potential TFA sidebar for its 25th anniversary without me having to ask, and this was not selected for some reason. TL;DR I was rusty on the rules, and if there's anything we can do in 40-odd days between that date and now, I'd like to ask for a switch. If it can't be helped, I can live with it, I was the one who was late, but I figured it was worth a try. mftp dan oops 17:33, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

How does this work?
[edit]Hi, everyone. Months ago I placed my first FA, Queen Melisende, in the table above in the 14 September (the anniversary of her first coronation) slot. I understood that "doing so does not count as a nomination and does not guarantee selection", but I figured there was some point in it, otherwise it would not be an option. WP:TFAR says that "request must be either for a specific date within the next 30 days that has not yet been scheduled, or a non-specific date". I understood this to mean that if I wanted the article to appear on 14 September, I had to nominate it after 14 August. Now I see that all of September has already been filled. Could someone please explain to me like I am five how I am supposed to do this? Pinging coordinators Wehwalt, Gog the Mild and Z1720. Surtsicna (talk) 22:45, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
- I have no objection to running it on the 14th if you write the blurb, of not more than 1025 characters. . But it was available as a TFA/R date for roughly a month. We schedule each month a little over a month in advance. The bit under Summary chart said September 1 to October 1 from late June to late July. The FA community got tired of last minute scheduling and the software doesn't like it if you schedule too far in advance, and doing it in one-month blocks has been a happy medium.
