Introduction
The State of Uttarakhand (earlier known as Uttaranchal) came into existence on 9th November, 2000 as the 27th State of the Republic of India. With the creation of the State of Uttarakhand, the Lok Bhavan was temporarily established at Bijapur House situated on New Cantonment Road, Dehradun.
