Team Grants for Minnesota Robotics Teams

High Tech Kids offers grants and scholarships to Minnesota FIRST Tech Challenge teams, FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams, and FIRST LEGO League Explore teams. This funding is structured as a reimbursement grant and teams will receive funds after participating in a Minnesota event. Thank you to our corporate partners for giving this opportunity to Minnesota youth.

Eligibility and rules:

• Teams must be from Minnesota and comprised of Minnesota youth.
• Teams must participate in a High Tech Kids event.
• Awards are issued electronicaly via ACH through our financial platform, checks are not issued.

National Team Grants

As High Tech Kids learns of addtional grants offered to teams they will be listed below. Choose the grant name to learn more about each grant. Review the criteria for each grant before applying.

Donors Choose – All programs
3M is supporting FIRST related DonorsChoose project funding for educators. Eligible educators must work 75% of the time with public schools, public charter shools, head start centers, or the Bureau of Indian Education schools. Grants are for materials only, not registration fees.

FIRST Grants – All Programs
For new and returning FIRST LEGO League Explore, FIRST LEGO League Challenge,  and FIRST Tech Challenge teams. Grant opportunities through FIRST vary from year to year. See the details and eligibility requirements for each grant carefully, including the paid/unpaid status of a team’s registration. All Rookie FTC teams are encouraged to apply for the FTC Rookie Grant before paying their national registration.

Gene Haas Foundation – FTC Only
For new and returning FTC teams. Your team must qualify as one of the following: public school, private school with 501(c)(3) status, competition team with 501(c)(3) status. Funding is awarded in waves.
