Pome

A pome is a type of fruit. Pomes are produced by plants of the subtribe Malinae (in the tribe Maleae in the subfamily Amygdaloideae) in the family Rosaceae. Some common edible pome fruits are apples, pears, and loquats. Wild pomes include crabapples.
