Formed in 1996, The CDG represents Casting Directors across film, television, theatre, commercials and games in the UK, and requires all members to uphold the values and code of conduct at its core, ensuring the Guild remains a trusted and respected voice in the industry.
Membership of the Guild gives the opportunity to be supported by, and offer support to, our peers at every stage in their careers. We believe that the interests of our members are best served through advocacy, collaboration and engagement.
The CDG Awards honour Casting Directors and their teams for outstanding work across a number of disciplines, voted for by the membership. All members are eligible for nomination for Best Casting across all categories alongside their member Associate(s) and Assistant(s) and are invited to our annual awards ceremony in Central London, the biggest event in our calendar.
