    Sheba Ayinzabyonna is a STEM educator, software developer, UI/UX designer, and WordPress developer with a strong passion for solving real-world problems using technology, empowering the community, and faith-driven impact. She has designed inclusive learning experiences and consistently championed the inclusion of women and girls in technology and leading transformative digital literacy programs.

    Through community-driven workshops and mentorship programs, Sheba has successfully trained over 80 women in UI/UX design and front-end development. Her leadership in events such as WordCamp Masaka 2025, where she served as the Event Communications Coordinator, was vital in securing sponsorships and boosting event visibility on social media platforms. As a speaker at WordCamp Mukono 2025, she inspired tech enthusiasts by sharing insights on the power of tech communities.

    Her technical expertise spans WordPress development, front-end engineering, and user-centered UI/UX design. Sheba has contributed to the development of various community-centered digital solutions, including an AI-powered agriculture app and interactive educational platforms.

    In addition to her technical contributions, Sheba actively serves as a WordCamp Speaker, Organizer, Translator, and Volunteer, making her a vital part of the WordPress and broader tech community in Uganda and beyond. Her dedication has earned her recognition, including the Outstanding Performance Award at the Women Techmakers Series.

    As a facilitator at Code Queen, Sheba has helped young girls and women embrace technology confidently, instilling critical problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.

    Above all, Sheba integrates her faith into her work, striving to live purposefully and serve God through technology, education, and community service.

    WordPress Origin Story

    My journey began when a Mr. Dumba Stephen introduced me to the WordPress community. At the time, I had never heard of WordPress or used it before. However, the developer assured me that it was easy to learn and implement once understood.

    I started with the basics, learning to use the Elementor page builder, which helped me grasp the fundamentals of website creation. Later, I explored Full Site Editing (FSE), which significantly improved my workflow—making website development faster and more efficient, just as the name suggests.

    Being part of the WordPress community gave me the opportunity to attend both online and in-person meetups and WordCamps from 2020 to date. Over time, I transitioned from being an attendee to a volunteer, learning from experts who spoke at these events.

    Through networking, I connected with WordPress developers who were always willing to offer support whenever I needed it. Then, in 2024, a friend—who is also a WordPress developer—encouraged me to take the next step: speaking at a WordCamp. At first, I never saw myself as a speaker. I had always believed that one had to be an expert to speak at a WordCamp.

    But guess what? I was wrong! In 2025, I took a leap of faith and applied to speak at WordCamp Mukono 2025 under the theme: The power of community to a tech enthusiast—a step I had never imagined taking before. This experience has since introduced me to more WordPress developers in the community and opened doors to new opportunities in my tech journey.

    What a journey it has been—and still is—of continuous learning, mentorship, and, most importantly, witnessing my own growth from grass to grace.
