The Syrian Arab Army’s 555th Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division is rolling through the Hama-Raqqa countryside, capturing several sites each day as the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists continue their massive retreat towards the Tabaqa Military Airport.
On Saturday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 555th Brigade – backed by the pro-government Palestinian militia “Liwaa Al-Quds” (Jerusalem Brigade), Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), and Fouj Al-Joulan (Golani Regiment) – imposed full control over the village of Al-Massabah after a violent battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham near the strategic town of Zakiyah.
In addition to capturing Al-Massabah, the Syrian Armed Forces also established full control over Point 4 (hilltop) after capturing nearby Point 5 from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham terrorists last night.
According to a military source from the 555th Brigade, the Syrian Armed Forces are still positioned outside of Zakiyah; however, they are inching closer to this town each day and should be within striking distance by next week.
