Should Cardinal Fabrizio Ruffo be classified as a military commander?
[edit]Ruffo led the Sanfedisti who clearly held military-political aims and his Wiki page, in the section "Return to the Holy See and role in the Kingdom of Naples", indicates that he possessed some degree of military authority, I believe this is needed, but not completely sure of it. 7 Gold nominated for deletion
[edit]Hi there,
I have nominated 7 Gold for deletion (discussion available at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/7 Gold) as it does not seem notable considering the article's current lack of sources. I would appreciate if you could help improve the state of that article and add text and references from the corresponding article in Italian as indicated by the maintenance template, after that has been done I can withdraw that discussion.
Thanks for your help! Qwerty123M (talk) 03:41, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

The article Adamo Pedro Bronzoni has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged for notability concerns for 11 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Poorly sourced BLP. Created by SPA with 12 edits, and based on the user name, almost certainly by the subject himself. Having a short film at the Cinéfondation (but not in the top 3) of Cannes Film Festival is WP:MILL.

Palagio di Guardavia
[edit]Ciao! I noticed that the Italian Wikipedia article on the Palagio di Guardavia has only one source, the 2000 book Firenze il quartiere di Santo Spirito dai gonfaloni ai rioni. Una metodologia d'indagine per un piano delle funzioni della vita cittadina by Valeria Orgera, Giovanna Balzanetti, Luciano Artusi, and Jacopo Poli, as there aren't many websites or newspapers mentioning it online (see: , ). So, could the draft version of this article still be accepted for the English version? Thanks! DanielParoliere (talk) 11:22, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
DanielParoliere, the draft would need more references to be suitable for English Wikipedia. The message from the AfC reviewer explains what is needed:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
- provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
- are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
- are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content. TSventon (talk) 12:47, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
Regarding the Kingdom of Italy Flag
[edit]Dear Colleagues, after a long discussion in the the Italy version of Wikipedia, we have raised the matter of considering the National Flag the general representation of the State. There are several elements in support of a such a thesis, which I'm going to illustrate in this message:
1) The R.D. n.2072 of 1923 in its first article presents the Flag with the mere shield as the general National frag, considered as the normal and most common version of it used in every situation which is not exactly indicated by the Law;
2) The second article of that act presents the taxative situations in which the crowned version of the flag can be used, considering those as specific exceptions to the general rule of the "merely-shielded" version of it;
3) Even in en.wiki, there is a tendency to represent States with their National flag if the Legislation presents the State one as used in specific contexts (eg. Weimar Republic, modern Austria and Finland);
4) If you notice the actual picture of the Japanese Embassy in Berlin (Axis powers), it is evident how, even in diplomatic relationship, the non-crowned version of the Flag became representative of the Kingdom of Italy, reducing the State Flag to a formal usage;
5) In the Law that converted the previously mentioned act, the generality of the National Flag as well as the derogatory discipline regarding the State one clearly shows the major representativity of the "non-crowned" version of it, which represents not only the Institutions of the State, but the State itslef.
If there are no objections regarding the issue, I might consider to change it from the infobox. Thank you for the consideration RomanoAnomalo (talk) 13:23, 20 June 2026 (UTC)

Looking for help with Italian→English translation
[edit]I took Italian several years ago, but I am having some trouble following the dialogue in this video, and Google Translate is difficult with the background music and noise. Would someone be able to help with this video: https://archivio.telebelluno.it/clip/370/pattinaggio-artistico-a-feltre-interviste-a-sabine-contini-beatrice-gelmini-marta-andreella-robe
- Women's event: It sounds like Sabine Contini was the winner, Beatrice Gelmini the runner-up, and Marta Andreella the fourth-place finisher. Any word on the third-place finisher? It would appear the women's event finished before this broadcast began.
- Men's event: It sounds like Gilberto Viadana was the winner. Any word on the second- or third-place finishers? Since the men competed during the broadcast, I have to imagine the identities of the runners-up were announced.
- Pairs: There was only one team – Anna Tabacchi & Massimo Salvadè – since the event was going on in real time and they were followed immediately by the dancers.
- Ice dance: It sounds like Anna Croci & Luca Mantovani were the winners. Any word on the second- and third-place results? I have to imagine it was mentioned in there somewhere since the ice dance event was happening in real time.
This would be for Italian Figure Skating Championships. Any help would be appreciated! Bgsu98 (Talk) 18:21, 11 July 2026 (UTC)

Lombardia Trophy (figure skating competition) – Sept. 2008 & Sept. 2011

Any help would be appreciated! Bgsu98 (Talk) 18:27, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
I am having a miserable time tracking down results for the Italian Figure Skating Championships. The following editions were held on the dates indicated, and in Milan unless otherwise indicated. - January 23, 1958
- January 17–19, 1970
- January 20–21, 1979

Temporarily removing AlexNewArtBot list
[edit]I have temporarily commented out {{:User:AlexNewArtBot/ItalySearchResult}} from this page. This was causing unrelated Wikidata edits to appear on watchlists as changes to this page. For example, edits to unrelated items like Biancuzzi were showing up as edits to Wikipedia:WikiProject Italy. The list may be restored if a solution is found.
