Hello! I'm For Each ... Next, though you may also know me by my former username, Lopullinen. I am primarily active on the Chinese Wikipedia and have been passionate about video games for more than a decade. More recently, I have also developed an interest in linguistics and literature, the subject of my undergraduate studies. One of the great appeals of Wikimedia projects is the opportunity to encounter different languages, which is one reason I enjoy contributing here.

Although my username pays homage to Visual Basic 6.0, the first programming language I encountered, I am actually a fan of Python, which I consider the most elegant language in the world. Another aspect of Wikipedia that fascinates me is that it provides an excellent playground for practicing programming, especially for amateurs who lack opportunities to work in professional environments. I had long wanted to create user gadgets, but I knew next to nothing about JavaScript. Recently, however, with the rise of vibe coding, and inspired by Zauber Violin, I have gone on a spree of creating scripts.

More seriously, I believe that writing articles is the main reason we join Wikipedia and that doing so is also the responsibility of a Wikipedian. When the Chinese Wikipedia was still relatively underdeveloped, I spent most of my time translating high-quality content from the English Wikipedia and building basic infrastructure, including guides and templates. Now that this kind of foundational work is less urgent, I feel that the time has come to write a few articles that might serve as representative works of my own.
