Citizens Bank is financing
ICE detention companies.

Citizens Bank talks a lot about valuing diversity and building strong communities. What they don't talk about: they're helping for-profit prison companies get the cash they need to lock more people away in ICE detention.

You've heard the stories that come out of the facilities run by CoreCivic and The GEO Group. 911 dispatchers flooded with calls. Severe medical neglect. Children locked up for months on end. But even as the heartbreaking stories pour out of ICE detention centers, Citizens Bank keeps pouring money into them.

Citizens Bank has dodged accountability for their important role in supporting inhumane ICE detention. Until now.

Pledge

Take the De-ICE Citizens Bank pledge

No company should profit from harmful detention practices without consequences. Until Citizens Bank ends its relationships with ICE detention operators, I'll work to educate my community about their involvement,

end their partnerships, and demand accountability from their leadership.

 READY TO GET STARTED?

Join our next coordinated day of action on July 18.

Momentum is building and we're not stopping until Citizens Bank stops financing CoreCivic and GEO Group.

On July 18, thousands of people across the country are taking action to educate their communities about Citizens Bank's role in the private detention system.

Send a message.

Flood their inboxes, phones, and social media feeds to urge Citizens' leadership to stop profiting from pain.

Move your money.

If you don't want to do business with a bank that lends to the private prison industry, pledge to move on from Citizens.

Spread the word.

Share the facts to help friends and neighbors understand how their banking choices connect to ICE detention.

Find a group taking action near you.

One of the best ways to get involved in this effort is to connect with a group in your area. To locate a group taking action near you, enlarge the map below. Click on any pin to get contact information for that group.
