HD 142 on tähti noin 84 valovuoden päässä Feeniksin tähdistössä. Sen näennäinen magnitudi (V) on 5,7. Vuonna 1894 tähdeltä löydettiin kumppani[12], joten kyseessä on kaksoistähtijärjestelmä.

Vuonna 2001 raportoitiin, että HD 142 -tähteä kiertää eksoplaneetta, jonka kiertoaika on juuri alle vuoden.[13]
