When you have a specific title or you want to browse or search for books or videos on a particular topic, the WorldCat, the AU LIbrary catalog is the place to begin.
You may find some articles through the catalog, but for most research, the article databases are a better choice. Article databases (e.g. PsycINFO, ERIC, Academic Search Complete) are designed specifically for finding journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.
The catalog can be found on the library's main website, as well as on some research guides librarians have created. We strive to have the catalog available to patrons wherever possible to make searching an convenient as possible.
WorldCat is designed for maximum discovery. By default, your search results will show you items that are owned by other libraries as well as those in the AU Library's collection.
You can also use WorldCat to find resources cited in another locations (another database, Google Scholar, a reference list, etc.). Simply search for the title in WorldCat to see if it's in the AU Library. If not, you can request it through interlibrary loan (We Deliver).
We subscribe to a number of databases to support the research needs of the university. These include databases hosted by EBSCOhost, ProQuest, and JSTOR, among others. You can find a list of all our databases here. We subscribe to databases based on patron need and use, as well as to have broad coverage of material that supports the research needs of Antioch.
If you're searching in a specific database and want to view an article that doesn't appear to be available, be sure to check our catalog in case we have it in another database.

Antioch Library has a large amount of video resources. The best way to find videos in the AU Library is by searching WorldCat and limiting to videos and showing only those items in the AU Library

Antioch Library has access to over 70,000 online journals. You can search for and browse through them online through Browzine. Browzine is best for looking for journals as a whole. To find individual articles, try searching the catalog.
If you want to search a specific journal for an article, going to the journal in Browzine and then selecting "see all" under the list of years will take you to a list of what databases has that journal, along with the date coverage of that journal. Choose the one that makes the most sense to you and you can search within the journal there.
